Information session was held in the Ministry of Culture on joint grant competition.
Information session was held within the grant competition jointly held by the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the Ministry of Culture on financing NGO projects in 2020 in the Azerbaijan National Library named after Mirza Fatali Akhundzada.
Representatives of both organizations and NGOs participated at the event.
Head of Information and public relations Department of the Ministry of Culture Intigam Humbatov spoke about the work and projects implemented by the ministry with NGOs. He stressed the importance of these projects in terms of its contributions to the development of the cultural field. I.Humbatov said that the Ministry of Culture pays special attention to cooperation with NGOs and announces grant competition twice a year in accordance with the legislation.
Head of the Division for public relations and media affairs of the Information and public relations Department Turkan Jafarova noted that the grant competition jointly held by the Council and the Ministry of Culture covers the topics like “Initiatives on applying modern information technologies in the cultural field”, “Initiatives on development of culture in the regions”, “Initiatives on development of museums, book affairs and folk art”.
Head of the section of e-services and internal control of the Secretariat of the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nadima Rahimli gave detailed information about the joint grant competitions held by the Council. N.Rahimli said that the Council holds grant competitions with 18 government agencies and other agencies on financing NGO projects in 2020.
Representative of the Council also spoke about new opportunities provided to NGOs by the grant competition held jointly with the Ministry of Culture. Speaking about the e-services provided by the Council, N.Rahimli emphasized that the competitions will be held via the System for Fast Coordination and Project Management (SƏLİS) without any live contacts.
Later, a video was shown on the application rules for the joint competition.
