Next meeting of the Council on state Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held today. Deputy Chairman of the Council VusalGuliyev opened the meeting and announced the issues regarding the Council’s activity in the 2nd quarter of 2017, results of the last meeting of the Council’s Appeal Commission and the issue on non-competitive projects submitted to the Council. The agenda was unanimously approved. Executive director of the Council’s Secretariat FarasatGurbanov provided detailed information about the work done and the Council’s activity in the 2nd quarter of 2017. Member of the Council’s Appeal Commission NargizEyvazova gave broad information about the meeting of the Commission that was held on July 14 2017. She noted in the meeting that appeals of 23 organizations, which were dissatisfied with the results of the 2nd grant competition of 2017, were reviewed. Representatives of 2 NGOs did not attend the meeting of the Appeal Commission. Decision of the Council on projects of 14 NGOs was considered acceptable. The Commission recommended the Council to revise the projects of 9 NGOs. The Council made a decision on allocating fund to projects of 9 NGOs (7000 AZN for each of these organizations: Center of Electronic management and Development of Information Community, Public Union for Assistance to Intellectual Property Owners, Family and Environment Public Union, Public Union for Nutrition and Health, 6000 AZN for each of these organizations: the League of Protection of Children’s rights Public Union, Public Union for Support to Economic Development and agricultural projects, “Social Support” Public Union, “Shine of Youth”Public Union for Youth Development and Public Union for Support to Development of Book Publishing). Council’s members VusalGuliyev, NargizEyvazova, RufizGonagov, AlimammadNuriyev, EminHasanli and AnarKhalilov made their suggestions regarding the issues in the agenda. The affairs on the agenda were adopted after separate voting held after the discussions.
